Is the Price of MBBS Seat under Management / NRI Quota One Crore

One Crore for MBBS Seat under Management / NRI Quota.Is it true that the management / NRI quota MBBS seats in one of the state of India is as high as 1 crore or you can say 1 hundred lacs or as they say in United States 10 million. Well fortunately the currency is not US dollars but Indian Rupees.

As per the newspaper reports, the governors’ remarks and the ministers statement everything said about Management / NRI quota seat & the price collected by private medical institution was looking authentic but without proof.

  • Hence had to approach the judiciary to bring a stay in favour of the students wanting transparency in the conducting of admission process to allot MBBS seats under management / NRI quota.
  • The initiation of the governor, the steps of the education minister, the backing of the CM, and the persistence of the disadvantaged students succeeded in filing the petitions in the courts of the law.
  • However the split decision of the Bench and the Judgment of the Justice not in favour of students;
  • Has again postponed the Management / NRI quota MBBS seat alleged exorbitant price & admission transparency debate for at least one more year.

Does it suggest that such amounts of money as mentioned are being collected by private medical colleges towards Management / NRI quota MBBS seats? If that is so, then should we conclude that for the year 2012-13, the private medical institutions have collected more than the official G.O. (Government Order) fees?
