MCI has permitted the state of Maharashtra to set up 2 new medical colleges.

The 1st MBBS institution in the list is Ashwini Rural Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre at Solapur; 2nd in the list is Institute of Medical Science and Research, Vidyagiri, Satara. MCI Permitted new medical colleges in Maharashtra present in the list are affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

MCI Permitted New Medical Colleges in Maharashtra have 200 MBBS Seats

The Entrance test quota aspirants from the state of Maharashtra along with aspirants from India who have qualified the AMUPMDC conducted entrance are eligible for admission in the above mentioned list of MCI Permitted new medical colleges for the 170 MBBS seats.
The management / NRI quota aspirants are advised to plan in advance for the 30 MBBS Seats and approach the management of these 2 MCI permitted new medical colleges & submits their application to the management of the institution.
Based on your credentials you will become eligible for admission in one of the MBBS institution present in the list of MCI permitted 2 new medical colleges in Maharashtra, subject to availability of seats and eligibility criteria.

Both of the MCI permitted new medical colleges present in the list are affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
The degree awarded by the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik is recognized in India and in the world.

Both of the medical colleges mentioned in the list of MCI Permitted new medical colleges are approved by Medical Council of India under the section 10(A) of the Indian Medical Council Act.
The MBBS institution present in the MCI permitted new medical colleges list provides admission to the eligible students of Maharashtra into the first year of MBBS course selected by a common entrance test conducted by MHT-CET.
Whereas for Management / NRI Quota Seats, the aspirants from all over India have to apply separately for admission into any one of the MBBS institution present in the list of MCI permitted new medical colleges in Maharashtra

MBBS Admission by Common Entrance Test – MHT-CET / AMUPMDC

A Common Entrance Test is conducted by MHT-CET / AMUPMDC for admitting the eligible candidates into the medical colleges present in the list of MCI permitted new medical colleges on merit achieved in the entrance test.
The eligibility to appear for the entrance for admission into one of the MBBS Institution from the list of MCI Permitted new medical colleges is that students from the state of Maharashtra who will be completing 17 years on 31 December in the year of joining;
Must have Physics, Chemistry, & Biology / Biotechnology as their subjects in their 12th Class or Intermediate;
Must have achieved a minimum 50 marks in an average of the above mentioned 3 subjects and having English as one of the subject.

MBBS Admission in Management Quota / NRI Quota Seats

Management / NRI Quota of 15% of the total seats are available in the MBBS institutions present on the list of MCI permitted new medical colleges in Maharashtra for eligible candidates from India.
A separate notification will come in newspapers for admission into the MBBS institutions present in the list of MCI permitted new medical institutions in Maharashtra under management / NRI quota and the students have to apply separately.
The yearly fees in these 2 MBBS institutions present in the list of MCI permitted new medical colleges in Maharashtra will be decided by DMER (Directorate Medical Education & Research) for Government, Aided, Private Un-aided Minority / Non-minority institutions and by Shikshan Shulka Samiti for AMUPMDC (Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical & Dental Colleges, Maharashtra).
However the yearly fees is expected to be anywhere between Rs 2, 65,600/- to Rs 6, 50,000/-. For more details contact the respective colleges.
