In the year 2005 Medical Council of India has given permission to start admit students into this college for MBBS Course. The medical college is affiliated to Utkal University. Again in the year 2012, the government of Orissa and Medical Council of India has once again given permission to Hi-Tech group to start a new Medical College with the same name in Rourkela.
