Sudden surfacing of 60 missing Gian Sagar MBBS students is definitely arising curiosity in our minds.

If reports are to be believed they are residing in the United States from the past several years.

And that too without clearing their MBBS course in Punjab.

The batch of MBBS students is from the academic years of 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11.

It seems, they accidentally appeared.

That too when the transfer of students was taking place from Gian Sagar Medical College to other colleges.

60 Missing Gian Sagar MBBS Students Physical Presence in BFUHS

Since the physical presence of MBBS students was compulsory.

While transferring, the authorities when conducting the formalities saw the presence of these students approach Baba Farid University of Health Sciences; for registering their names.

It is said that the absentee MBBS students were, in fact, busy preparing for USMLE exams.



Paving their way into the post-graduation and residency courses in the United States.

For those reading this article, for information, Gian Sagar Medical College has failed to honor its commitment to pay the dues of Rs 100 crores.

Hence the state government of Punjab by way of helping the affected MBBS students of Gian Sagar Medical College; in consultations with Medical Council of India and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences Faridkot are transferring; the MBBS students to 8 different medical colleges in Punjab.

Also, an advisory by the Baba Farid University of Health Science states that the Post Graduate eligible MBBS doctors; seeking admission into Gian Sagar Medical College will themselves be held responsible for any consequences.

And it so happened that while the transferring of MBBS students’ with formalities, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences; found the 60 missing Gian Sagar MBBS students’ surface & physically present for registering.
