MBBS admission Fees in Haryana is out of reach of the economically weaker NEET qualified candidates.
Though these candidates secured high rank in NEET 2017 to get a seat on merit, but what about the exorbitant fee which hinder their chances of taking admission into MBBS in the private unaided medical colleges of this state.
Students looking for MBBS admission in private medical colleges to pay over Rs 60 lakh as tuition fees.
The Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER) proposed MBBS fee as Rs 12 lakh per annum.
MM Institute of Medical Sciences and SGT Medical College charge Rs 75 lakh and Rs 90 lakh, respectively. Both the colleges likely to be given free hand to decide the fee on their own.
Is MBBS Admission Fees In Haryana regulated by DMER?
DMER want to bring these two medical institutes under the Haryana Private Health Sciences Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions, Fixation of Fees and Maintenance of Educational Standards) Act, 2012 through an amendment during the Budget session.
But the proposal could not go through due to the shorter duration of the Assembly session.
In the provisional fees announced for the private medical colleges for this year, the DMER has proposes to hike 70 per cent hike in the fees for MBBS.
The department seeks representations on fees till July 15. However, the fee structure is provisional and subject to approval of the state government.
