Yes, only Medical Council of India can help increase MBBS seats in Punjab, certainly!

The woe of medical colleges of Punjab does not seem to end.

First was the Gian Sagar Medical College closing and transferring of students to other 8 colleges in Punjab.

Then there was a problem with the 2-year ban on Chintpurni Medical College.

The last and not the least is the Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Bathinda, which is not being given permission by Medical Council of India to top MBBS admission for 150 MBBS seats.

Though the Principal of Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research is confident to get the MCI nod soon. We have to wait and see when the real-time arrives.

A new medical college may come up in SAS Nagar, but only after 2 to 3 years to materialize.

Punjab Chief Minister knows that only Medical Council of India can help increase MBBS seats in Punjab

Hopefully, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh using his political goodwill and power will make sure so that the new college in SAS Nagar comes up within one year.

Who are the suffers, it is always the Punjab domicile students who have only 975 MBBS in Punjab to try their luck in the 85% quota of the 975 seats.

Request to the Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, please give permission to more number of medical colleges in Punjab.

So please lift the ban on Chintpurni Medical College; so that 150 MBBS seats will add to the total numbers of available seats in Punjab.

Also please do not stop admissions in Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences and Research adding another 150 MBBS seats.

Conclusion, all that the MBBS aspirants of Punjab can do is pray for a positive outcome.

One thing is certain. Only Medical Council of India can help increase MBBS seats in Punjab.
