Origin of College – Justice K S Hegde with his leadership qualities and vision conceived an idea for the cause of education and community development. Thus was born a trust and named as Nitte Education Trust, baptized in 1979. Exactly after 20 years in the year 1999 came into existense K S Hegde Medical Academy in Mangalore. A hospital came up later in memory of late Sri K S Hegde, named after him as Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital.

MBBS, MD & MS Courses – The UG course is MBBS. The PG courses are in MD & MS.  All of these UG / PG Courses in K S Hegde Medical Academy are recognized by Medical Council of India.
